Call for Abstracts

The IFBLS 2022 Scientific Committee invites you to submit your abstract(s) at this wonderful gathering of knowledge and experience and contribute with your in-depth studies to the field of the Biomedical Laboratory Science.

Important Dates

Abstract Submission by March 31, 2022
Acceptance of Notification from April 30, 2022
Presenting Author’s Registration by May 15, 2022

The presenting author must register for the congress. Accepted abstracts whose presenting author does not register and pay in full by the above deadline, will not be published in the final abstract book.

Abstract Types

Poster Presentation
Interesting and inspiring studies related to Biomedical Laboratory Science will be displayed in the poster session. Your findings and rigorous investigations will certainly benefit and inspire all colleagues.
Oral Presentation
You can apply for the oral presentation where you will have an opportunity to present your work directly to the audience at the congress. Also, abstracts of exceptional qualities can be requested to be presented orally.

Final placement of abstracts in the oral or poster session is subject to the discretion of the scientific committee.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Submission
  • Abstract can only be submitted online through the  official website. Abstract submission by email or fax will not be accepted.
  • Submission of an abstract implies that it has been approved by all listed authors.
Language
  • English
Title
  • The title must not exceed 30 words.
Organization of Co-authors
  • Listed by department, institution, country.
Keywords
  • Can be entered up to five keywords.
Contents
  • The material must be in the form of the abstract template (download here).
  • The contents must not exceed 2300 characters (with space).
  • Tables, figures, graphs and references are not allowed in the abstract.
  • Animated images and animations are not permitted and will be non-functioning.
  • All abbreviations must be defined in first use. Only standard abbreviations may be used without definition.
  • Abstract will be reproduced as submitted. The authors are responsible for all spelling, grammatical or scientific errors.
  • Modifications may be made at any time until the abstract submission system is closed on March 31, 2022.
Originality
  • Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to the congress.
Conflicts of Interest
  • To avoid any commercial bias, all authors must disclose conflicts of interest included in the abstract.

  • Withdrawal of abstracts will only be accepted if notified in writing to scientific@ifbls2022.org and confirmed by the secretariat. It is only possible to withdraw an abstract until 14 days after the notification of acceptance.
  • The scientific committee reserves the right to withdraw any abstracts that do not meet the scientific standards of the federation at any point before or after acceptance and subsequent publication in the congress abstract book.

Notification of Acceptance

The scientific committee will review the abstracts, and the notification of acceptance will be sent to the select authors from  April 30, 2022 along with presentation instructions. If your abstract is accepted, please be sure that the presenting author registers for IFBLS 2022 by no later than May 15, 2022. If the presenting author does not register in time, the abstract will not be included in the final abstract book.
