■ As of June 8, 2022, quarantine measures have been lifted for all travelers entering Korea regardless of their vaccination status.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that it will put in place the quarantine exemption measures, the final step of reorganizing the post-Omicron entry system, from June 8, in line with the continuous decrease in the number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Korea and stabilization of overseas outbreaks.
[Existing] Quarantine exemption for vaccinated person Obligation to quarantine for unvaccinated person (7 days)
[Changed] Quarantine exemption for all overseas entrants regardless of vaccination
■ Negative Test Result Certificates are still required twice for all entrants to Korea.
[Before entry] Certificate of negative PCR test result received within 48 hours or supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) received within 24 hours of departure date
[After entry] Certificate of negative PCR test within 3 days of arrival
※ Test methods must be written in Korean or English.
※ Passengers who do not have a confirmation of Negative COVID-19 Test Result or fail to meet the submission criteria will be restricted from boarding.
■ Use Q-CODE to facilitate your entry process. Entering your pre-entry examination information and health status questionnaire into Q-CODE application (Pre-entry Quarantine Information System) prior to departure will facilitate your entry process. In case of incorrect information entry, loss of QR code, etc., additional confirmation may be required by the quarantine officer including PCR Negative Certificate, etc. Thus, you must carry the documents upon entry.
The quarantine policies may apply differently by country, and it is the responsibility of the participant to check with the Korean diplomatic missions abroad prior to departure for the arrival procedure for each country. |
