Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove is an infectious disease epidemiologist who currently serves as the technical lead for the COVID-19 response at WHO. Her focus includes developing prevention and control programs around high threat respiratory pathogens. Prior to COVID-19, she was serving as the MERS-CoV technical lead.

Before founding his lab, he served as the Head of Future Technology Strategy Team at Hyundai Motor Group.

Prof. Kim’s specialties are in clinical microbiology and nosocomial infection. Her research focuses on bacteriology, mycology and parasitology, especially in regard to the diagnosis of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, identification of resistance mechanisms and infection control. At this congress, Prof. Kim will give an incredible presentation on “New Waves of Clinical Laboratory in Future Revolution”.
